I began my career in the United States Army. I served in Colorado and Panama from 1987-1990. After my military experience, I attended Augusta Technical College to earn a diploma in industrial maintenance, as well as, welding and joining technology. Next, I received my teacher certification from Georgia State University in 1998. I began teaching welding to students at Lucy Craft Laney Comprehensive High School in Augusta, GA and Ware High School in Waycross, GA. I also hold degrees from Voorhees College in Denmark, SC, Tory University in Troy, AL, and Cambridge College in Boston, MA. In 2020, I moved to Cook Middle School to become an Assistant Principal, where I am currently serving. Leading and training middle school students is my passion, and I am honored to work with a great team!
