My name is Deena Griffin and I have been teaching at Cook Middle School for 30 years. I graduated from Cook High School as an Honor Graduate in 1984. My areas of certification are in math, science, and social studies. I received my Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education in Math and Science in 1993 from Valdosta State College. In 1995, I received my Masters Degree in Middle Grades Education in Math and Science from Valdosta State University. In 2012, I received my Specialist Degree in Curriculum Instruction and Professional Development from Walden University. I love teaching math and teaching in this school. Even though math is a difficult subject for many students, I love helping them learn the importance of math and how it can help them everyday to better serve a purpose in life.
