I received my B.S. and M.S. from the University of Georgia.  My background has been in Agriculture and Animal Science.  I went on to receive my Ed. S. in Educational Leadership and Administration from Albany State University in 2010.  I would like to eventually get into school/system administration when the time is right.

I have always enjoyed animals of all types.  I have trained horses and competed in several different disciplines of equine sports.  I am a practicing farrier and enjoy the challenges that this brings in working with horses.  I also enjoy athletics and officiate football through the GHSA and officiate fast-pitch softball with both GHSA and ASA.  This allows me to continue to work with and mentor youth outside the school environment.  Being seen in their "world" outside of the school building gives us some common ground to communicate instead of across a desk.

Welcome to Exploring Agriculture.  I am Mr. McLean, the Ag. teacher for Cook Middle School.  This program has been offered at CMS since 2005.  Our FFA Chapter has become one of the largest student organization at CMS.  Sixth grade students will get a broad picture of agriculture for our area.  Seventh grade students will get to concentrate on Animal Agriculture, while Eighth grade students will concentrate on plant agriculture.  I am hoping we will have a fun year learning about agriculture and encourage all students to come into  class with an open mind and willing to work.  We also teach a Basic Agriscience class for Eighth graders that are going into the Agricultural pathways at the high school.  This class satisfies the requirement for the first class in those pathways.  It also satisfies the state requirement for a fourth science at the high school level.
